Replacing Variable Venturi Carburetor What Do I Have To Change On A 1982 Lincoln 302 To Replace The Variable Venturi Carb With A Regular Caruretor?

What do I have to change on a 1982 Lincoln 302 to replace the variable venturi Carb with a regular caruretor? - replacing variable venturi carburetor

This car has only 69.000 miles on the odometer, but the owner had a friend, you replace the carburetor with a normal CA. The car is not in 2nd Gang go h at 31 km / and will not go into overdrive until it is up to 71 MPH. What we need to change it, to get the transmission to shift properly? THANKS
for their help. G & M

  1. It looks like the lack of a blank line. The C-4 and C-6 transmission, Ford had a vacuum line, which allows them to change correctly on the transmission. The valve is bad or the suction line, wrinkles, or is bad. Other wise, I saw the project by linking him out of adjustment. To prove this, you can disconnect the link project, carbohydrates, and a short test. If the problem is gone, you need to adjust the links. Try these things to see if it helps.

  2. Or the vacuum line for the transmission is switched off or the vacuum modulator on the transmission is bad. Probably only the line when it happens, if someone ate with the carburetor. The general line and manifold at the bottom of carbohydrates or a spacer between the carburetor.

  3. Well, that's a problem because there is no direct replacement for the carbohydrates that are undesirable. It seems that you need to complete the manifold vacuum to your vacuum modulator transmission. Also check that your connection is working properly downshift.
